TR 42-45 1.5.2 - ALLIED vs Mark - T111: 6.17.44

T111: 6.17.44

Short update this turn. I was away overnight on a two-day job interview, so I got in the turn, but not the full AAR. It’s not bad though, as there wasn’t much change in the situation here. The Karelian sector continues to be a mess on all fronts. I was able to reopen the supply line in the north, but the rail line is still damaged. Along the Svir River, the 7th Army and 1st Guards are advancing north, hopefully opening up the supply line from that direction. Near Stalingrad, my forces are still struggling to get a real good push, but are making progress nonetheless. Finally in Italy, the British Commonwealth forces are pushing back the Germans along the Adriatic coast. The biggest benefit to this is that a shorter front line will require fewer divisions. That will free up most of the Americans for the planned invasions of France. My goal is to get OVERLORD underway no later than the first turn in July.
